Sono da sempre attratta dai materiali, dalle strutture della natura e dalle sue molteplici forme. Indagarle, rielaborarle e restituirle in un nuovo contesto nell’ambito del design e dell’arte è per me un modo per esprimere e per trasmettere il loro fascino, la loro bellezza e la loro magia. Nel design tessile uso forme espressive diverse che si combinano: il disegno manuale, la fotografia come ispirazione per i fondali o le texture, le elaborazioni grafiche e digitali e le tecniche della tintura e della stampa tessile. Negli ultimi anni mi sono concentrata molto sull’aspetto materico del tessuto e delle fibre vegetali, rendendoli materia plasmabile. Creo quadri, bassorilievi, sculture e oggetti di design plasmando materiali tessili e vetrificandoli con delle resine che esaltano la fisicità degli oggetti. I vasi-sculture di varie dimensioni hanno forme complesse e colori accesi; i pannelli a rilievo, le sculture luminose e i totem sono minimalisti e sono prevalentemente bianchi per evidenziare le loro forme in rapporto con lo spazio. Una più recente ricerca mi ha portato a creare minisculture ‘indossabili’, collane e gioielli che danno inizio alle collezioni Jowels®

ARTIST STATEMENT
I’m inspired by the materials, the structures and the multiple forms of nature. By investigating and redrawing them, I process them in a new context. Applying them in the field of design and art is for me a way to express and to transmit their charm, their beauty and their magic. For textile design I use different forms of expression that I combine: manual drawing, photography, graphic and digital processing, painting and techniques of dying and textile printing. In the last few years I have focused mostly on the material of different natural raw fabrics and plant fibers, making them pliable materials. I create paintings, reliefs, sculptures and design objects such as vase objects and light sculptures by shaping textile materials. The vitrification with resins enhances the physicality of the objects. The vase-sculptures have various sizes, complex shapes and bright colors. The reliefs, light sculptures and totems are minimalist and predominantly white: this, for the design to be highlighted in its spatial relations. In a more recent research I began to create 'wearable' mini-sculptures, necklaces and jewels that start the Jowels® collection.
